This complete boss weakness guide will show all bosses (including sub-bosses) in Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection
Guide to Boss Weaknesses Guide
As stated, this guide will showcase the weaknesses of all bosses in Mega Man Zero 1-4. I’ll do a separate guide for the bosses in ZX and ZX Advent, as well as a guide for collectibles for both games later.
A thing to note is, I am not as familiar with the Zero and ZX games, as I am with Classic and X games, so expect a few, other than grammatical, mistakes here and there. Apologies in advance!
I’ve also made guides for Classic and X Games, all of which you can check through my profile.
Hope this guide will be helpful to you all!
Rock Man Zero 1/Mega Man Zero 1: Boss Weaknesses
NOTE: Since you can choose the order of the missions in any way that you’d want to, there won’t be any boss/mission order per se (at least until I replay the game enough times to notice and make one); I’ll just list the bosses + sub-bosses, the missions in which they appear, their weaknesses and what they give.
|Boss||Mission/Level||Rec. Weapon||E-Chip Weakness||Gives You|
|Golem||Intro Stage (Underground Laboratory)||Z-Saber (In the head)||N/A||Z-Saber|
|Aztec Falcon||(Rescue Reploids from) Disposal Center||Z-Buster||Ice Chip||Thunder Chip|
|Pantheon Core/Train Engine Core||Destroy Train(Subway)||Z-Saber||Thunder Chip||Cyber Elf|
|Maha Ganeshariff||Retrieve Data (Underground Laboratory)||Z-Saber||Thunder Chip||Cyber Elf + Triple Rod|
|Guard Orotic||Occupy Factory (Subway)||Z-Saber/Z-Buster||N/A||Flame Chip|
|Anubis Necromancess III||Find Shuttle (Desert)||Z-Saber||Flame Chip||Cyber-Elf|
|Blizzard Staggroff||Find Hidden Base (Desert)||Z-Saber||Flame Chip||Ice Chip|
|Sage Harpuia||Rescue Colbor (Subway)||Z-Saber||Ice Chip||Cyber Elf|
|Fighting Fefnir||Duel in Desert (Desert)||Z-Saber||Thunder Chip||Cyber Elf|
|Hidden Phantom||Protect Factory (Subway)||Z-Saber||N/A||Cyber Elf|
|Fairy Leviathan||Stop the Hacking (Desert)||Z-Saber||Flame Chip||Cyber Elf|
|Hanumachine||Defend The Base – 2/Resistance Base Perseverance||Z-Saber||Thunder Chip||Cyber Elf|
|Asura Basura||Neo Arcadia Shrine||Z-Buster||Thunder Chip||N/A|
|Herculious Anchortus||Neo Arcadia Shrine||Z-Saber||Ice Chip||Cyber Elf|
|Rainbow Devil||Neo Arcadia Tower||Z-Saber||N/A||Cyber Elf|
|Copy X (1st Phase)||Neo Arcadia Core||Z-Saber||Varies||N/A|
|Copy X (2nd Phase)||Neo Arcadia Core||Z-Saber||Ice Chip||Cyber Elf|
Not sure, if they can be considered Sub-Bosses. The game treats them as bosses, but they don’t have health bars, so, I’ll treat them as sub-bosses.
|Boss||Mission/Level||Rec. Weapon||Weak Against|
|Hittite Hottaid||Giant Mechaniloid Invasion||Z-Buster||N/A|
|Pantheon Ace||Neo Arcadia Shrine||Z-Saber||N/A|
The recommended weapon doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the best weapon for that boss/sub-boss. You can beat Fairy Leviathan, for example, with Z-Buster. Z-Saber is a better option though, as it can slIce through her and her attacks rather quickly.
Rock Man Zero 2/Mega Man Zero 2: Boss Weaknesses
From what I recall, the same thing about order applies to Zero 2(Have to replay Zero 2 to see if it’s true), so, again: I’ll just list the bosses + sub-bosses, the missions in which they appear, their weaknesses and what they give.
|Boss||Mission/Level||E-Chip Weakness||Gives You|
|Mecha Scorpia||Intro Stage (Sand Wilderness)||N/A||N/A|
|Hyleg Ourobockle||Rescue Reploids (Forest of Dysis)||N/A||Laser Shot (EX Skill)|
|Poler Kamrous||Destroy Computer (Computer Zone)||Flame Chip||Ice Chip + Triple Shot (EX Skill)|
|Panter Flauclaws||Rob Goods (Supply Train)||Ice Chip||Thunder Chip + Spark Shot (EX Skill)|
|Phoenix Magnion||Destroy Power Reactors (Power Room)||Thunder Chip||Flame Chip + Tenshouzan (EX Skill)|
|Golems||Residential Area||Golem E – Ice; Golem F – Thunder; Golem I – Flame||N/A|
|Kuwagust Anchus||N/A||Ice Chip||Sengatotsu (EX Skill)|
|Burble Hekelot||Forest of Notus||N/A||Energy Chain (EX Skill)|
|Sage Harpuia||Crystal Cave||Ice Chip||Kougenjin (EX Skill)|
|Fighting Fefnir||Shuttle Factory||Thunder Chip||Blast Shot (EX Skill)|
|Fairy Leviathan||Roof of Computer Zone||Flame Chip||Sharp Edge (EX Skill)|
