Borderlands 3 – “Rewards Card” Achievement (Atlas, COV, Dahl, Hyperion, Jakobs, etc.)

To get the “Rewards Card” Achievement (Maliwan, Tediore, Torgue, Vladof, Atlas, COV, Dahl, Hyperion, Jakobs, etc.) in Borderlands 3, we’re supposed to “Earn a Loyalty Package from each weapon manufacturer.”

Unfortunately, there’s no firm definition of what that “Loyalty Packages” are (or at least none that I can find). From the wording of the Manufacturer’s emails we get in the game, the implication is that a “Loyalty Package” is awarded for killing 100 enemies with their weapons. Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be universally true. This guide documents the things I saw in my finally getting the Achievement and discusses what I think the actual “Loyalty Packages” are. Currently, I’m pretty sure about some of the requirements. But, there are still questions about others.

“Rewards Card” Achievement (How to Get It?)

Introduction

The “Rewards Card” Achievement in Borderlands 3 requires us to “Earn a Loyalty Package from each weapon manufacturer.” The common assumption I’d seen was that this meant killing 100 enemies with each of the nine weapons manufacturer’s guns (since they send us “emails” with rewards every time we do that). Unfortunately, from what I’ve seen and documented below, it looks like that assumption is wrong. It seems that each manufacturer has its own requirement for a “Loyalty Package.”

To add to the difficulty in getting this Achievement, there also appears to be no obvious way to track our progress towards it. The usual suggestion is that we should not accept (and thus delete) the reward emails we get from manufacturers until the Achievement pops. But, since “Loyalty Packages” do not appear to be necessarily tied to the standard reward emails (which might be also kicked off for advancing in Rank for a particular Challenge), that tracking method is not of much use. There’s also the problem that by the time we start wondering about this Achievement, we’ve already accepted some unknown number of those emails.

Another often suggested tracking method is to look at the vehicle skins at a Catch-A-Ride station. The assumption seems to be that each manufacturer’s “Loyalty Package” will include a skin for some vehicle. But, I haven’t found anything that confirms that assumption. Also, each vehicle type seems to come with a different set of default manufacturer’s skins. I suppose if a certain manufacturer’s skin is is not present in ALL vehicle types, that might indicate that that manufacturer’s “Loyalty Package” is missing. But, it’s not a good metric.

Some notes on what follows:

  • To see the full list of manufacturer Challenges, hit “M” to bring up the local map then “X” for the planetary map, then another “X” for the galactic map. From there, hit ALT-L to get to the Challenges list (unless your system allows you to simply click on the Challenges heading) and hit “Q” three times to get to the manufacturer’s Challenges.
  • In the tables below, I’ve included our numbers for each of the manufacturer’s Challenges at the time we got our “Rewards Card” Achievement. I’ve also included my best estimate of our Ranks for each of the Challenges at the same time. Those are based on the information at:

    https://borderlands.fandom.com/wiki/Challenge

The tables at that link are not complete. So, some of my entries will have question marks next to them. If you know of a better information source for those Ranks, I’d appreciate it if you’d let me know.
  • And, if anyone’s interested, I used the following to convert my spreadsheet to the tables I used for this guide:

Atlas

The following table shows the numbers for each Atlas Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

Atlas Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank
A Death-Centric Orbit: Kill enemies with Atlas grenades2550100250?105300
Knuckle Puck: Tag enemies with Atlas tracker pucks5015040065010000000
No Escape: Tag enemies with Atlas tracker grenades75250500100015008711491
Once Bitten: Tag enemies with Atlas tracker darts150450125025004000107000
Totals     299 149

Atlas was a special case for me. This was the one that kicked off the Achievement for me. My initial assumption was that I’d completed this Loyalty Card by getting over 100 kills (105 = Rank 3) with Atlas grenades. When it became clear that the other manufacturer’s weapons that I was working with to finalize the Achievement weren’t doing the job, I noted that my spouse had gotten the Achievement when she had 149 “tags” with an Atlas gun that fired tracker grenades (Rank 1). I switched to the same type of weapon and the Achievement popped for me when I had 87 such “tags” (Rank 1). Since I’d already had 107 similar tags with Atlas tracker darts (Rank 0) and hadn’t gotten the Achievement, it looks like the requirement for Atlas is to get Rank 1 in one of their “tracker” Challenges.

COV

The following table shows the numbers for each COV Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

COV Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank
Junkheap Juggernaut: Kill enemies with COV heavy weapons50?200??0000
Keep It in Family: Kill COV with COV weapons150300500??420760
Turn Up the Pressure: Kill enemies with COV weapons while overheated50100250??30150
Warming Up: Kill enemies with COV weapons while not overheated1002505001250?1031850
Totals     148 176

Looking at my spouse’s COV Challenges Ranks, they are all 0. So, this “Loyalty Package” doesn’t appear to be tied to Rank. Also, none of my spouse’s individual COV Challenges total 100 or more (assuming that 100 might be a meaningful number). So, it looks like individual Challenges aren’t the requirement. From the number of enemies we killed using COV weapons in general while waiting for some kind of rewards email (again, assuming one of those types of emails indicates a “Loyalty Package”), I’m pretty sure the requirement is not a raw kill number (as opposed to Challenge kill numbers). I believe my spouse got her reward email when “Turn Up the Pressure: Kill enemies with COV weapons while overheated” (line 3) and “Warming Up: Kill enemies with COV weapons while not overheated” (line 4) lines totaled 100. Neither of us had any “Junkheap Juggernaut: Kill enemies with COV heavy weapons” (line 1) kills. So, that doesn’t seem to be involved. Also, the “Keep It in Family: Kill COV with COV weapons” (line 2) number would be contain numbers already counted in lines 3 and 4. So, it looks like the requirement is to get a total of 100 kills using COV weapons while they’re not overheated or while they’re overheated. IOW, get 100 kills using COV weapons.

Dahl

The following table shows the numbers for each Dahl Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

Dahl Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank
Burst of Inspiration: Kill enemies with Dahl weapons in burst-fire mode50?250??51041582?
Going Loud: Kill enemies with Dahl weapons in full-auto mode??250500?2903731?
Precision Above All: Kill enemies with Dahl weapons in semi-auto mode50100250??511290
Through the Looking Glass: Kill enemies with Dahl weapons while zoomed75150250??4383?330
Totals     1289 293

Unfortunately, I don’t have much to try narrowing down the requirements for Dahl’s “Loyalty Package.” About the only thing I can note is that “Through the Looking Glass: Kill enemies with Dahl weapons while zoomed” (line 4) numbers would contain numbers already counted in the other three lines and that the first three lines seem to be mutually exclusive. So, I’d say a good candidate requirement is to get a total of 100 kills using Dahl weapons in burst-fire, full-auto, or semi-auto modes.

Hyperion

The following table shows the numbers for each Hyperion Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

Hyperion Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank
Business Bombardier: Kill enemies with Hyperion grenades25????421?571?
I Turned Your Bullets into Hate: Kill enemies with Hyperion weapons while buffed by an Amplify shield2550???0010
I’ll Take That: Absorb ammo with Hyperion weapon shield100???1000000180
Keep It Tight: Kill enemies with Hyperion guns with increased accuracy75150300??771791
Totals     119 155

For Hyperion, neither of us have an individual Challenge that is equal to 100. So, raw numbers at the individual Challenge level don’t seem to be the key. However, both of us reached Rank 1 in two Challenges. So, the possibilities I see are to try getting Rank 1 in “Business Bombardier: Kill enemies with Hyperion grenades” (25 kills) or “Keep It Tight: Kill enemies with Hyperion guns with increased accuracy” (75 kills). If that doesn’t work, try getting 100 kills across all their Challenges (which the previous guess should get you).

Jakobs

The following table shows the numbers for each Jakobs Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

Jakobs Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank
Bank Shot: Kill enemies with Ricochet bullets with Jakobs weapons5?25457525361
Between the Eyes: Get critical hits with Jakobs weapons100250500?150021115293
Fan the Hammer: Kill enemies with Jakobs pistols while firing from the hip2575?4507501022?491
The Old-Fashioned: Kill enemies with critical hits with Jakobs weapons2550??400732?842?
Totals     411 668

There’s not much I can say to narrow the Jakobs requirement down. The Challenge’s aren’t mutually exclusive. So, looking across the Challenges for a raw number isn’t very useful. Also, both of us have a lot of total Challenge kills and multiple Challenges with Rank 1 or greater. So, narrowing it down to raw number or ranks is a bit tricky. If I stretch it, a possibility is that the requirement could be for getting 100 kills (Rank 1) in “Between the Eyes: Get critical hits with Jakobs weapons.”

Maliwan

The following table shows the numbers for each Maliwan Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

Maliwan Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank
Deadstream: Kill enemies with Maliwan beam weapons100200400??0070
Elementary: Kill enemies with status effect with Maliwan weapons50??50012501032?200
Futurekill/Deathsounds: Kill enemies with Maliwan charging weapons75??500?0090
Shockwave and Awe: Kill enemies with Maliwan shockwave weapons501002004006000000
Totals     103 36

For Maliwan, none of my spouse’s Challenge Ranks is greater than zero, no Challenge has more than 100 kills, and the total number of kills is less than 100. So, try getting 100 kills with any Maliwan weapons.

Tediore

The following table shows the numbers for each Tediore Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

Tediore Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank
C-C-Combo Killer: Kill enemies with Tediore target combo reloads15???20010140
Good to the Last Drop: Kill enemies with empty Tediore reloads25????13010
Trade-In Value: Kill enemies with Tediore reloads with over half clip20?200400?931?160
Yeets Shoots and Leaves: Kill enemies with Tediore shooting turrets2550100250500280400
Totals     387 31

Tediore was a special case for us. This was the one that kicked off the Achievement for my spouse.
Looking at the raw numbers, my spouse got the Achievement with fewer than 100 kills total from all of the Tediore Challenges and while having a rank of 0 in each Challenge. That seems to imply that the Tediore Reward is awarded for ANY Tediore kills totaling some number. So, try getting 100 kills with any Tediore weapons.

Torgue

The following table shows the numbers for each Torgue Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

Torgue Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank
BOOM! Ker-SPLOOSH!: Kill enemies with Torgue weapon splash damage5012525040060010216005
Howitzer Haymaker: Kill enemies with Torgue impact bullets1002004007501250139112505
Stuck On You: Kill enemies with Torgue sticky bullets75?300??560100
The Flexington Fastball: Kill enemies with Torgue grenades2550100??43100
Totals     340 1860

For Torgue, there’s not much I can say to narrow things down. Since my spouse has zero for “The Flexington Fastball: Kill enemies with Torgue grenades,” it doesn’t appear to be tied to that. Since both of us have small number and Rank 0 in “Stuck On You: Kill enemies with Torgue sticky bullets,” it’s probably not tied to that. So, try getting Rank 1 in “BOOM! Ker-SPLOOSH!: Kill enemies with Torgue weapon splash damage” or “Howitzer Haymaker: Kill enemies with Torgue impact bullets.” If that doesn’t work, try increasing the number of splash damage kills to 100. It could also just be getting more than 100 kills with any Torgue weapons.

Vladof

The following table shows the numbers for each Vladof Challenge at the point where my spouse and I each got our overall “Rewards Card” Achievement:

Vladof Challenges# for Rank 1# for Rank 2# for Rank 3# for Rank 4# for Rank 5My NumbersMy RankSpouse’s NumbersSpouse’s Rank

Conclusion

At this point in time, I have only guidelines on how to get the “Rewards Card” Achievement. I’m pretty sure of the “Loyalty Package” requirements for Atlas, COV, Dahl and Tediore. The requirements for Jakobs, Maliwan, and Vladof seem reasonable. But, for Hyperion and Torgue, well, all I’ve got are guesses. Here’s a summary of the specifics:

  • Atlas: Get Rank 1 in one of their “tracker” weapon Challenges.
  • COV: Get a total of 100 kills using COV weapons while they’re not overheated or while they’re overheated. IOW, get 100 kills using COV weapons.
  • Dahl: Get a total of 100 kills using Dahl weapons in burst-fire, full-auto, or semi-auto modes.
  • Hyperion: Not much to go on here. Try getting Rank 1 in “Business Bombardier: Kill enemies with Hyperion grenades” (25 kills) or “Keep It Tight: Kill enemies with Hyperion guns with increased accuracy” (75 kills). If that doesn’t work, try getting 100 kills across all their Challenges (which the previous guess should get you).
  • Jakobs: Try getting 100 kills (Rank 1) in “Between the Eyes: Get critical hits with Jakobs weapons.”
  • Maliwan: Try getting 100 kills with any Maliwan weapons.
  • Tediore: Try getting 100 kills with any Tediore weapons.
  • Torgue: Try getting Rank 1 in “BOOM!
  • Vladof: Try getting 100 kills with any Vladof weapons.

  1. Thanks for doing this man. Got the achievement finally through trying some of your suggestions. For me, Torgue was the last and I got the achievement after my 100th kill with impact bullets, so that seems to be the trigger, since i got the standard 100 kills mail before that already and it didnt count.
